Dr. Goharshadi completed her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in February 1989. She then pursued a Master of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Physical Chemistry at Shiraz University, graduating in August 1992. Dr. Goharshadi continued her studies at Shiraz University, where she earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry with a focus on Physical Chemistry in September 1995.
