He then pursued an MSc in Ocean Engineering at Gdansk University of Technology, Poland, completing it in 1993. Following his passion for maritime engineering, he earned a PhD in Ocean Engineering from Yokohama National University, Japan, in 1997. His post-doctoral research was conducted at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, from 1998 to 2000, before joining Amirkabir University of Technology as an assistant professor in 2000. Over the years, he advanced in his academic career, becoming an associate professor in 2008 and a full professor in 2014.
