Dr. Marc Le Menn is a distinguished researcher specializing in metrology and chemical oceanography. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronics from Université de Bretagne Occidentale (UBO, 2000) and has dedicated his career to improving measurement techniques in oceanography. Since 1999, he has been leading the metrology and chemical oceanography laboratory at the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the French Navy (SHOM) in Brest, France. His expertise focuses on temperature, salinity, sea-level, and ocean current measurements, playing a crucial role in enhancing marine environmental monitoring and data accuracy. Additionally, he has contributed as a part-time lecturer at UBO and a visiting professor at the University Saint Joseph of Beirut (Lebanon). With over 30 peer-reviewed publications, books, patents, and international conference presentations, Dr. Le Menn’s work has significantly impacted oceanographic research. His dedication to bringing metrology into marine sciences has earned him international recognition and multiple awards.
